It’s been a busy week at the Great Yorkshire Show for members of the regimental family. The Military Village was set up and coordinated by #4YORKs led by Capt Mark Murray, attracting many visitors including HRH The Princess Royal, who took the time to meet serving soldiers and cadets. The Yorkshire Agricultural Society Trophy for 2022 was presented to #1YORKS Pte Joe Kelsall by Show Director Charles Mills in front of the packed stands in the main arena. Joe was nominated for his passion for soldiering and his sporting ability which , in his first 12 months of service, has proven him to be a formidable and motivating presence within Alma Coy, 1 YORKS. The Regiment took the opportunity to say thank you to our many ‘friends of the regiment’, joining with RFCA Yorkshire and The Humber to host civics guest, business leaders and supporters of the regiment, at an evening cocktail party. The highlight of the evening featured the The Band of the Yorkshire Regiment, freshly returned from #Denmark who ‘Beat Retreat’ on the Main Arena.
