THE royal YORKSHIRE REGIMENT

King’s Award for Voluntary Service

The Royal Yorkshire Regiment congratulates the 5 Towns Veterans Support Hub on receiving the King’s Award for Voluntary Service. This prestigious accolade, equivalent to an MBE, is the highest honour bestowed upon volunteer groups in the UK and recognises outstanding contributions to local communities.

Awardees receive a certificate signed by His Majesty the King and a domed glass crystal symbolizing the group’s exceptional service. In acknowledgement of their dedication, representatives may also be invited to attend a royal garden party.

The presentation was made by the Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire and the Mayor of Wakefield, underscoring the significance of the Hub’s contributions. We also thank Alan Austin for hosting the Regimental Secretary and the RYRA Chairman during this momentous occasion.

The 5 Towns Veterans Support Hub’s unwavering commitment to supporting veterans exemplifies the spirit of service and community that the King’s Award seeks to honour. Their recognition is well-deserved, and we celebrate their achievement.
