Pre-Deployment Training (PDT) is underway at Otterburn Camp in Northumberland to prepare a combined force of 4th Infantry Brigade, British Army Reserve personnel for deployment to Oman as part of EX DESERT KHANJAR in late September. The training runs from 4-25 September, and is directed by CO #4YORKS and his team.
The combined reserve force is drawn from 4th Battalion The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, #4YORKS, The Queen’s Own Yeomanry and 6 SCOTS who will complete the pre-requisite training before being mobilised and deploying to Oman on 26 September as Kohima Company under the command of Maj Mick Owen (4 LANCS).
The commencement of the Kohima Company training was witnessed at first hand by Commander 4th Infantry Brigade Brig Mudd and Commander of the newly formed 19 Brigade, Brig Lyttle.
